General InformationLake Rotokakahi is also referred to as the Green Lake. The lake is located within the Okataina Volcanic Centre and linked to Lake Tarawera via the Wairoa Stream (EBOP, 2000). It is now privately owned and only the outflow can be monitored. The main issue regarding Lake Rotokakahi and the catchment is to enhance and maintain its natural character.
