Valder Conservation Grants

Students grants are available from the Waikato Branch of the Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society Inc. Usually $1,000-2,000 is given to individual projects.

These grants are open to all students, especially for conservation projects to be undertaken in the coming year. The grants could help to fund research, practical projects, or advocacy for conservation. There is no restriction on the type of project, provided that it contributes to conservation. Relevance to the Waikato-Coromandel region, however, would be helpful, and highest priority will be given to local projects.

The grants will pay for:

Travel (in petrol vouchers), boat and helicopter hire, consumables, and equipment.

The grants will not pay for:

Food, fees, equipment that the University should have, accommodation, or thesis production.
